As part of their national expansion, they are seeking Business Development Consultants to drive growth through adviser partnerships and market engagement.
Bilingual fluency in English and Afrikaans is essential.
Role Purpose
The Business Development Consultant is responsible for building strong relationships with financial advisers and driving the distribution of long-term insurance products.
You will play a key role in enabling adviser success through strategic sales support, onboarding, and training while ensuring a consistently excellent client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with independent financial advisers and brokerage firms.
- Drive business development by identifying and onboarding new intermediaries.
- Support advisers in planning, quoting, and converting leads to new business.
Adviser Enablement & Support
Provide tools and resources to help advisers succeed, including product training and benefit presentations.Deliver product updates and refresher sessions to ensure advisers remain confident and knowledgeable.Market Strategy & Development
Execute sales strategies aligned with business goals and revenue targets.Monitor market trends and feedback to refine offerings and improve the adviser journey.Requirements
English and Afrikaans language proficiency is essential.Education : RE5 (MUST HAVE), NQF5 or higher in Financial Planning preferred.Minimum 5 years in long-term insurance, ideally in a broker consultant or IFA role.Valid driver’s license and reliable transport; flexibility to travel.Tech proficiency : CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting tools.Strong communication and presentation skills.Tech-savvy with the ability to work independently.Goal-oriented with a results-driven approach.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation capabilities.High level of integrity and accountability.Core Competencies
