Commercial Business Development Consultant – Centurion MMH -7. Momentum Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa.
Role Purpose : Commercial Business Development Consultants are committed, driven, results oriented advisers who are able to work on their own as well as in a team environment and write business in accordance with targets laid down by Momentum Insurance. They are expected to source leads and achieve sales targets primarily on Commercial Insurance, and to build relationships with Personal lines BDCs and employees within other Momentum Insure divisions to ensure that these areas become a lead source for commercial.
Responsibilities
- Source sufficient lead generating opportunities to ensure that you can quote at least 100 prospects per month
- Maintain and update your Lead Generation Matrix on a weekly basis
- Arrange one-on-one meetings with clients to conduct needs analyses and offer professional advice after a quote is requested
- Manage the lead generation process including group presentations, one-on-one consultations, staff communication, participation in corporate events, advertising and general relationship building
- Complete weekly reports reflecting leads, quotes and sales, including source of leads, average premium, total premium and other pertinent information as required
- Stay up to date with product comparisons and changes in own product line
- Generate interest for and introduce other Momentum Insurance specialists to prospects where appropriate
- Meet all KPls as laid down by Momentum Insurance for BDCs
- Operate in compliance with FAIS regulations, professional guidelines and ethics, and maintain fit and proper status
- Maintain professional knowledge and skills to provide specialist financial advice in relevant business areas
Qualifications
Matric / Grade 12FAIS Credits (minimum 30 credits in short term insurance if first appointment is before 2010); or a full recognised FSCA qualification if first appointment is on or after 01 / 01 / 2010FAIS Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5)CPD (Continuous Professional Development) pointsMinimum of three years of sales experience, preferably in short-term insurance, with payslips as proof of previous commission earnedOwn transport (car) and valid driver’s licenseDetails
