Job descriptionApplicable Bachelor's Degree or Technical Qualification. A Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or technical field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering project environment (experience in the aerospace and / or defence sector is preferred). Knowledge or experience of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. Knowledge or experience in work pack management across domains such as avionics, airframes, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge or experience in budgeting and budget management. Knowledge or experience in risk and change management. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in and lead a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to interact with internal and external parties. Ability to work within set budgets and timelines. Proficient in MS Office. Experience in a technical management / leadership position. Safety conscious. Agility & adaptability to changing environments. Innovative. Self-motivated and output-driven. Problem-solving and solutions-driven attitude. High work capacity and ability to deliver under pressure. Quality driven. Excellent communication skills. Attention to detail. Team Player. Ability to resolve conflict. Effective leader. Responsible for planning, executing, and delivering engineering and production projects on time, within scope, and within budget; while managing associated risks, stakeholders, clients, resources, and requirements. Ensure that tasks are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Participate in project planning and monitoring activities. Compile and present project reports to internal and external stakeholders, including schedule, budget, risk, resource, and technical aspects. Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for the execution of tasks. Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues. Manage the relationship with all stakeholders of allocated tasks. Perform risk management. Manage projects and tasks in accordance with Incomar processes, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, reporting, and closure. Manage project and task deliverables and quality standards adherence. Measure task performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques. Conducting post-task evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful task elements. Manage, lead, and mentor other younger project managers within the department. Report and escalate issues to management as needed. Apply sound ethical principles.
Overview
Incomar is a leading aerospace and defence group based in Centurion, South Africa. We are continuously expanding our specialised product development, production and flight operations capabilities. The group was established in South Africa in 1999, with its origins in military aircraft weapons and avionics integration and flight testing. The group is well established in the local and international industry, with a strong capability in several specialist areas, including :
- Systems Design, Development, and Integration.
- System Testing on a range of platforms / products.
- Product Development.
- Flight Test Execution and Support.
Incomar Dynamics, a subsidiary within the Incomar group of companies, is seeking a motivated individual to take on a Senior Project Manager role within the company on aircraft, avionics development and production projects. This individual will be incorporated into a team consisting of personnel from the Projects, Engineering and Production departments to help manage and achieve project objectives. The individual may also be required to lead and mentor more junior project managers within the department.
