Responsibilities : Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records. Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, including supplier and customer liaison. Prepare and post journals, maintain ledgers, and manage account sales. Support grower advances, vessel finalisations, inter-company transactions, and reconciliations. Handle FOREX transactions and support month-end / year-end revaluations. Assist with payroll processing and staff expense reconciliations. Ensure compliance with IFRS and Accounting Standards. Use Pastel for invoicing, postings, and reporting. Collaborate with the logistics, commercial, and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely financial records. Contribute to audit preparation. Champion digital transformation by moving towards paperless record-keeping and collaboration using Excel, SharePoint, and AI-assisted tools. Requirements : Financial / Accounting Degree Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Clerk with 3 to 4 Years experience Advanced Excel skills : Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and automated checks. Strong accounting knowledge (IFRS). Experience working with multi-currency transactions (advantageous). Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English (preferred). Familiarity with Pastel (advantageous). Comfort with SharePoint and collaborative digital workflows (advantageous). Highly organised, detail-driven, and process-oriented able to introduce structure and improve workflows.
