Senior Bookkeeper

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process in accounting software.
• Bring the books to the trail balance stage and ensure the trail balance accuracy.
• Filing of electronic or hardcopy documents.
• Review management reports and issue to clients for A+, A and B, C category clients
• Manage VAT reconciliation and submission process
• Client management and engagement related to bookkeeping matters.
• Manage bookkeeping team administrative and management aspects.
• Create, review, and approve audit packs / financial statement packs.
• Various other ad hoc duties as required.
• Provide direction to team
• Trains, provides work direction, and problem-solving assistance for the Bookkeeping team.
• Overseeing the daily operations of Bookkeeping Team.
• Assist the Bookkeeper Team Leader with the supervision of the bookkeeping staff, including hiring, scheduling and assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommends salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations. Qualifications :
• Completed Certificate or Completed Diploma in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Matric with mid to high grades in mathematics and accounting.
• At least three to four year bookkeeping experience in an accounting practice environment
• Able to work with Microsoft Office 365 product suite including Excel, Word, Outlook
