Restaurant Wine Steward

As a Wine Steward in our upcoming signature restaurant at Mount Nelson, you are part of a team that shapes the culinary experience of our guests. In this role, you will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the Food & Beverage team. Our new signature restaurant offers an immersive marine dining experience, transporting guests into the mysterious beauty and biodiversity of the surrounding Two Oceans.

Open 5 days a week, with closed days being Sunday and Monday, launching in Quarter 4 2025.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist guests during dinner service with wine recommendations and selection for perfect pairing with their dinner, including decanting and wine service.
• Create and maintain an extensive wine list, ensuring it is up to date with the newest wines and trends.
• Conduct wine tastings for staff training and as a hotel offering for guests.
• Ensure that the wine cellar is fully stocked.
