Purpose of the Role Operations Manager will lead and oversee the daily operations of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and service availability.
The role involves managing the IT support team, coordinating projects services with external vendors, Identifies and generates new ICT business opportunities.
Works closely with Sales & Tenders team to close sales opportunities and facilitate implementation.
Management of key customer accounts.
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- A+ and N+ Diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or Computer Science.
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- ITIL Service Operations Certifications
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) (Advantage)
Required Experience
5-7 Years General IT Operations, infrastructure, service management and Support.2-3 Years in a supervisory or managerial position, overseeing teams or projects.Proficiency with IT systems, including networks, hardware, and software, is essential.Required Skills
Technical Proficiency : Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, virtualization, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to assess complex technical situations and propose effective solutions.Strong Communication Skills : Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Leadership and Mentorship : Ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving high performance.
