Key Responsibilities :
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee and manage the full accounting function (GL, AP, AR, and cashbook)
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for executive leadership
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial data, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Analyse and interpret financial results to support business decision-making
Payroll & Contractor Finance
Oversee processing of high-volume payroll for temporary / contract employeesEnsure compliance with PAYE, UIF, SDL, Workmans Compensation, and other statutory obligationsLiaise with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timeous disbursementsManage contractor invoicing, reconciliations, and paymentsCompliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, SARS, and industry-specific lawsPrepare for and manage external audits and SARS reviewsMaintain robust internal controls and risk management processesEnsuring all compliance and certifications are up to date and currentCash Flow & Treasury
Forecast and manage company cash flow requirementsOversee creditor and debtor cycles to ensure liquidity and operational efficiencyMonitor client payments and manage credit control processesStrategic & Operational Input
Support commercial decision-making through financial modeling and analysisContribute to pricing models and profitability analysis of staffing contractsAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processesTeam Leadership
Lead and mentor the finance and payroll teamsDrive continuous improvement and automation in financial systems and processesQualifications & Experience :
Bachelors degree in accounting / finance (BCom minimum); CA(SA) or CIMA preferredMinimum 5+ years experience as a Financial Manager, ideally in the labour broking, recruitment, or outsourced services industryStrong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory reporting in South AfricaExperience working with large payroll volumes and contractor billing cyclesProficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar ERP systems)Advanced MS Excel skillsKey Competencies :
