Our client, a trusted leader in the logistics and shipping sector, is looking for a highly skilled Financial Accountant to oversee the full finance function and contribute to the organisations continued success. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with strong technical and analytical skills to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced environment.
Duties include
- Full financial function : Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bookkeeping to trial balance, and present monthly management accounts
- Reporting and analysis : Prepare monthly management reports, perform variance analysis, and deliver budget versus actual insights
- Payroll and compliance : Oversee payroll reviews, process journals, manage VAT reconciliations and submissions
- Audit and controls : Prepare audit files, liaise with auditors, and maintain robust financial controls
- Cash and asset management : Manage fixed asset register, review cashbooks, and oversee bank transactions
- Business support : Assist with budgeting, cost management, financial investigations, and general administrative duties including drafting agreements
Education and Experience
BCom Honours in Accounting3 to 5 years relevant work experienceProven track record within the logistics and shipping industryStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressureSkilled in communicating financial insights to management and supporting strategic decision-makingThis is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional seeking to add value within a dynamic, growing business environment.
