Qualifications :
Minimum Grade 12 and tertiary qualification in Finance, Logistics, Stock Management or Supply Chain managementExperience :
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar designation, at a similar level in the FMCG stock control, logistics, warehouse and / or cold storage environmentThe ideal candidate will be responsible for :
Management of overall stock movementsMonitor stock levels and implement strategies to minimize variancesSupervising and guiding the Stock Control Team to ensure all duties are carried out effectivelyIdentify, manage and minimize aged or slow-moving stock – collaborate with relevant departments to determine appropriate actions such as discounting, repurposing or rendering of absolute stockManagement of all stock-takes and handle all reporting and analysis related to stock movementDrive continuous improvement in stock management processes, using data analysis to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and areas for improvementEnsure compliance to Stock and Quality control policies and use management tools to close gapsEnsuring accurate stock records are maintained to support on-time-and-in-full delivery of ordersEnforce compliance with company and client standards, focusing on Food Safety, Product Recall and Documentation Control.Manage cycle counts, monthly stock-takes and conducting annual stock counts, ensuring compliance with established proceduresGenerating reports on stock levels, outstanding orders / deliveries and other relevant data to prepare and present regular reports on stock performance, key metrics and KPI’s to senior management, as and when requiredImplementing improvements and maintaining stock management system, policies, SOP’s relating to stock management and controlAddressing stock-related queries daily, resolving discrepancies and communicating with relevant stakeholdersAnalyse root cause of variances and implement corrective actions and communicate sameMonitor and control budget and expenses related to stock control and the stock control team, ensuring financial reconciliation.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate invoicing, goods receipt and issued, transfers and reporting to support business-wide improvementsBuild, mentor and lead a high-performing stock control teamConduct regular performance reviews, provide ongoing training and developmentConduct daily team meetingsPromote adherence to safety and compliance standards, ensuring a safe and effective work environmentStore Keeping / Procurement jobs
