Overview
Director of Business Development to lead and scale revenue growth initiatives for a portfolio-backed agency focused on Amazon and Shopify brand growth. This is a high-impact leadership role with full ownership of the sales pipeline, client acquisition strategy, and revenue delivery, currently transitioning from the Founder for long-term continuity.

Location : Remote (LATAM or South Africa preferred)
Compensation : independent contractor, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth Ownership : Lead the full business development lifecycle from outbound prospecting to closing new accounts.
- Pipeline Management : Build and maintain a predictable pipeline of qualified opportunities through strategic outbound campaigns, referrals, and industry networking.
- Client Acquisition : Confidently pitch and represent our Amazon / Shopify growth services to brand founders and leadership teams.
- Outbound Prospecting : Execute targeted outreach strategies leveraging tools such as Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and CRM platforms.
- Amazon Expertise : Evaluate prospective clients using Amazon Seller Central, Helium 10, and Jungle Scout to identify high-potential brands.
- Partnership Building : Develop strong relationships with e-commerce leaders to foster long-term partnerships.
- Collaboration : Partner with internal marketing, brand management, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on growth initiatives.
- Performance Tracking : Monitor KPIs and continuously refine outreach tactics, sales processes, and closing strategies for maximum impact.
- Industry Representation : Represent the company at trade shows, eCommerce events, and virtual forums to generate new opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
Hard Skills (Non-Negotiable) : Proven track record in outbound sales, business development, and deal-closing.Direct experience with Amazon Seller Central.Strong understanding of Amazon / Shopify ecosystems and DTC brand dynamics.Proficiency with sales enablement and CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Close, etc.).Experience leveraging Amazon analytics tools (Helium 10, Jungle Scout).Soft Skills

5+ years of experience in business development, outbound sales, or partnerships.Prior success in agency, marketing services, or ecommerce (Amazon / Shopify focus).Preferred regions : South Africa (strong cultural / English alignment) or Latin America (Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico).Geography is flexible if Amazon experience and seniority requirements are met.Perks & Benefits
