The Role

As Partner Sales – Banking (South Africa), you will play a pivotal role in expanding SAP Fioneer’s footprint across the banking sector. Acting as a trusted advisor at C-Suite level, you will identify opportunities, understand customer business drivers, and guide strategic engagements with leading banks in the region.

This role is highly entrepreneurial : you will drive market entry, open new accounts, and grow long-term client relationships. With your strong network and industry expertise, you will shape strategic deals and position SAP Fioneer as a partner of choice for digital transformation in banking.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development and sales activities for core banking solutions in the South African market.
  • Drive opportunities through the entire sales cycle : acquire new clients, expand into new accounts, and grow existing relationships.
  • Build and maintain value-driven, trusted relationships with senior decision-makers at major banks.
  • Develop compelling value propositions tailored to the challenges of core banking transformation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design compelling solutions that address client challenges and create measurable impact.
  • Contribute to regional go-to-market strategies and business planning to align with SAP Fioneer’s growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in business development or enterprise sales within banking.
  • A proven delivery track record of software sales in the Banking industry, with a focus on Core Banking Solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of the financial services landscape, current trends, and current transformation drivers.
  • Deep understanding of core banking processes & systems.
  • Established C-Level network in the South Africa banking landscape.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Possess the innate ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused, changing environment and work independently in a self-directed manner.
  • An enthusiasm to learn, and willingness to adapt to change and always look for ways to fully leverage your abilities no matter the task at hand.
