Job Overview

A buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, or equipment for a business. Duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching item selections, and taking inventory of current products. Requires 2‑year experience and a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Procurement.

The Job at a Glance

Ensure that the correct goods are purchased at the correct quality, time of delivery, specifications, price, and are always available 24 hrs a day.

What You Will Do

• Order stock items as per specification
• Expedite all outstanding items
• Manage stock upliftment
• Manage supplier relations
• Assist store clerks with stock counts
• Place orders at specified minimum levels at the right price and time
• Ensure that the scorecard is updated with stock availability and expected delivery dates
• Uplift stock according to Material Rejection Note
• Discuss open order reports, artwork changes, malt changes & supplier breakdowns
• Assist with capturing stock count
