Overview

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The incumbent will be required to :

• Develop and deliver Method of Mathematics modules at Intermediate Phase level.
• Design course curriculum, instructional materials, and assessment strategies that promote active learning and student engagement.
• Conduct research within the field of Mathematics teaching or related fields, leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences.
• Participate in academic administration, including serving on faculty committees, contributing to curriculum development, and assisting with accreditation processes.
• Engage in professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in the teaching of Mathematics, Educational pedagogy in general, and research methodologies.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to promote interdisciplinary research and Educational initiatives.
• Represent the department and the faculty at academic conferences, workshops, and public events.
• Contribute to community outreach programmes and initiatives that promote Mathematics Education in local and regional communities.
• Mentor and evaluate students during School Based Learning.
