Warehouse Manager

Purpose of the Position :

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall performance and well-being of the warehouse receiving,storage & picking depts. of the DC,its staff and its customers. Monitoring operational capacity and process to ensure the sustainability of the distribution center warehouse operations at the right cost and to the right quality standards.

Key Functional Responsibilities :

The Key Functional responsibilities of the Ware house Manager includes but is not limited to :

1. Cost control Warehouse expenditure is managed wi thin budget.

2. Labour is managed within budgeted KPIs.

3. Stock losses are managed within budgeted KPIs.

4. Stock damages are managed within budgeted KPIs.

5. Repairs and maintenance are managed within budgeted KPIs.

6. Machinery is managed within budgeted KPIs.

7. Cost overruns are investigated, and appropriate countermeasures are instituted to prevent further overruns .

8. To be knowledgeable on the FSSC 22000 standards .

9. Expenditure is recorded in corr ect period.

10. Accounts are accurate.

11. Process Compliance :

DC is consistently compliant with all Company procedures.

Warehouse quality standards are consistently maintained in accordance with DQSP requirements.

Pass all internal and external quality audits.

Audit gaps are closed within prescribed due dates.

Perform staff on the job procedure assessments weekly.

Shift expenditure is manged within shift budget. Cost overruns are investigated and appropriate counter measures are instituted to prevent further overruns.

To be conscious about food safety and quality protocols in the DC and be part of the Food safety Team and custodian of improvements.

To be accountable for all internal and external audits and ensure

smooth running of the audit procedure.

Management of complex, multi-site, multi-disciplinary, multi- culture organizations.

Integrated strategy formulation and execution within large organizations of 400 plus employees.

Minimum Required : Grade 12

Tertiary Diploma / Degree / Qualification
