Business Development Representative (BDR)

Job Title : Business Development Representative (BDR) – Outbound

Reports To : VP, Marketing

Employment Type : Full-Time, Permanent, remote position in SA only

We’re looking for an ambitious, energetic, and curious Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our marketing team.

As an outbound BDR, you’ll be on the front lines : sourcing, engaging, nurturing and qualifying leads that will be handed off to our Account Executives to turn into opportunities. Your success will be measured by the quality and quantity of pipeline you generate, your ability to deeply understand customer challenges, and your persistence in creating meaningful conversations with supply chain and operations leaders in SMBs.

Responsibilities :

  • Prospect & Engage : Proactively reach out to supply chain, operations, and finance leaders at SMBs via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
  • Research & Target : Identify ideal customer profiles and research accounts to personalize outreach.
  • Qualify Opportunities : Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects’ pain points, business priorities, and fit with our solutions.
  • Pipeline Generation : Book qualified meetings and hand over opportunities to the AE team.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing : Work closely with AEs and Marketing to refine messaging, share market feedback, and optimize lead generation campaigns.
  • Track & Report : Maintain accurate records in our CRM (HubSpot) and consistently report on activities, pipeline, and results.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • 1–3 years’ experience in outbound BDR / SDR roles (SaaS experience strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with SMB sales motions and / or supply chain software a strong plus.
  • Confidence in cold-calling, emailing, and social selling to mid to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong research and discovery skills—able to uncover business challenges and connect them to our solution.
  • Resilient, persistent, and motivated by goals.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable working flexible hours into US hours.
