PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To lead a holistic and pro-active risk management approach to support the strategy and process of prevention, protection, mitigation, response and continuity, ensuring an integrated resilient approach to efficiently eliminate “siloing” of risk enabling security to detect, deter and prevent incidents.BALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY
Identify and assess level of baseline risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)Manage SHEQ compliance within the Department through effective use of the ToolboxUtilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ statusQuality controlIncident Management of security functionIdentify and assist with Risk AssessmentsPEOPLE
Lead the Department :
Ensure an enabling climate / cultureManage performance against set targets and competenciesEnsure KPI’s are linked to performance results and implemented as per planMaintain discipline (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.)Entrench Quality systems and procedures into the security value chain at the operationsEnsure an ethical approach on service deliveryCUSTOMERS
Ensure Customer Satisfaction at all Samancor Chrome operationsResolve customer quality queries and complaintsManage relationships on operations with all stakeholdersEnsure a cost effective yet efficient service deliveryManage the service to an acceptable standardBUSINESS PROCESSES
Manage IMS data and DataWalk analysis and highlight non-conformancesAudit security service compliance, processes and proceduresDrive continues improvement strategy and apply best practicesManage the IMS system and notify the responsible person of any non-conformancesSchedule weekly compliance meetings with service provider managementConduct Compliance audits on security registersManage and compile Incident Investigation reportsSubmit daily incident reports to Chief of SecurityMonthly Management reportsGROWTH

Minimum qualifications :
Degree or Diploma in Security Management5 years’ Mining Security experiencePreferably 3 years’ Managerial experiencePSIRA – Grade AAdditional qualifications :
ASIS PSP Certification – Physical Security Professional - would be an advantageSecurity / Safety jobs
