BASIC SALARY : R 420 640.43 – R 546 000.51 per annum [T12]

Job Purpose :
Coordinates and controls the operations of the department, inclusive of monitoring and implementing procedures, establishing resource requirements, planning and scheduling maintenance programmes and evaluating outcomes, monitoring and attending to deviations in productivity and performance and attending to specific administrative and information reporting requirements and processes.Duties :
Co-ordinates tasks / activities associated with the implementation of procedures, monitoring and reporting on sequences / outcomes.Plans, prioritises and schedules repairs projects and maintenance work.Co-ordinates and controls tasks / activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline.Monitors and evaluates progress with regards to repair, construction, installation and maintenance work.Performs specific administrative tasks / activities associated with the updating and maintaining of records / information related to the activities / operations of the Building Maintenance Unit.To keep track of assets and to keep assets in a good condition in line with the laid down procedures and applicablePolicy requirements.Monitors the capital and operating expenditure against the approved budget allocations.Adhere to health and safety regulations in terms of OHS Act.Minimum Requirements :
Grade 12 or equivalent technical qualificationTrade Certificate : Building Industry (in one or more of the following disciplines Carpenter / Painter / Bricklayer)Valid Code B Driver’s Licenses5 years relevant experienceSupervisory SkillsComputer literate : MS OfficeGood People Skills, Writing and Calculating SkillsProficiency in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western CapeCore Professional Competencies : Managing Work, problem solving, Planning and Organizing, Quality Orientation.Functional Competencies : Workplace Safety, Discipline Skills.
