Minimum 3–5 years' experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Mercedes-Benz or other premium brands.

Certification in automotive technology (e.g., NQF Level 4 or higher, Mercedes-Benz Technician Certification).

Strong knowledge of Mercedes-Benz vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

Excellent customer orientation.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

Familiarity with workshop management systems and inspection tools.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform final quality inspections on serviced and repaired Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Ensure all work complies with Mercedes-Benz technical specifications and diagnostic protocols.

Identify and document any deviations or defects, and coordinate corrective actions with technicians.

Collaborate with service advisors and workshop staff to resolve quality-related issues.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and resolutions using Mercedes-Benz systems.

Provide feedback and training to technicians on quality standards and best practices.

Monitor workshop processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Assist in resolving customer concerns related to service quality or vehicle performance.

Stay current with Mercedes-Benz technical bulletins, updates, and training modules.

Job Description

The role involves compiling annual product quality reviews, driving the supplier approval program, assisting with audits, customer complaints, and batch release, as well as providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate and coordinate customer complaints, including trending and corrective actions.

Maintain supplier and manufacturer documentation and drive the QA-28 approval process for raw and packaging materials.

Manage the approved supplier, material and manufacturer list (QA-26).

Compile annual product quality review plans and reports, following up on corrective and preventative actions.

Manage the Annual GMP Training Procedure, ensuring all records are accurate and training is performed on time.

Assist with batch release if required by reviewing production batch documentation prior to product release.

Provide support for general QA activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Education : National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

Tertiary Qualification : Diploma / Degree in Quality Management, Food Science, Food Technology, or Supply Chain Management.

Training / Certifications (preferred) : HACCP, BRCGS, IFS, Internal Auditor (ISO 9001 / ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000)

Experience : 3-5 years in quality, compliance, or supply chain auditing within food / beverage

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP (SAGE / SAP), and QMS platforms
