Quality Controller Position

A market leader and well-established company situated in Paarl, Western Cape in the imported packaging industry is looking to fill a Quality Controller position.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities include however not limited :

• Attend all quality control issues and travel to clients for Cape Town based branch and Paarl based plant.
• Investigating all customer complaints and writing reports to customers.
• Running trials on new products and testing all new packaging products.
• Sampling of all incoming goods and storing retention samples for every product and upkeep of retention samples storage.
• Ensuring that any outsourced tests are conducted, and results obtained.
• Visit clients to solve any quality-related complaints.
• Ordering consumables and staff PPE.
• Work on SAP to transfer stock for repacked / sorted stock.
• Update supplier’s and service providers information for BRCGS audit.
• Assist quality assurance manager during BRCGS audit and collecting all food safety certificates from suppliers and ensuring that suppliers have all relevant documentation.
• Conducting internal audits for BRCGS certification purposes.
• Ensuring that housekeeping around the factory is of good standard.
• Booking trainings for staff with relevant service providers.
• Liaise with various service providers regarding any scheduled maintenance or training etc.
• Maintenance of quality checks of machinery.
• Health and safety team member.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Package & Remuneration

R20,000 to R35,000 CTC (depending on experience)
