Mainframe Specialist – zVM & zLinux

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Specialist with expertise in zVM and zLinux to join our team and work closely with our client’s Mainframe team. The ideal candidate will assist with the alignment of technical initiatives to business requirements, contribute to operational stability, and ensure the successful maintenance of the zVM and zLinux environments. You will act as an extension of the customer’s zVM team, providing expert support and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in aligning zVM and zLinux technical initiatives with the client\'s business needs.
• Provide recommendations and implement best practices for Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and reporting for zVM and zLinux systems.
• Support the daily operations and ongoing maintenance of the IBM zVM and zLinux environments.
• Act as a key extension of the customer’s internal zVM team to ensure continuity and deep integration.
• Support customer and IBM teams with PSP (Preventive Service Planning) maintenance and technical support calls.
