Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced, and organized Workshop Manager to lead our Johannesburg Workshop Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all workshop operations, ensuring top-quality repairs, refurbishments, and maintenance of heavy earthmoving machinery.

You will manage technicians, control workflow, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure all work is completed efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workshop operations, staff, and workflow.
• Oversee diagnostics, repairs, and refurbishments of heavy earthmoving machinery and equipment.
• Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines and ensure high productivity.
• Implement and enforce safety and quality control procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on completed work.
• Manage parts inventory, job cards, and workshop documentation accurately.
• Liaise with the sales and service departments to coordinate machine preparation and delivery.
• Train, mentor, and motivate workshop staff to maintain high technical standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and report on workshop efficiency.
• Ensure all machinery is serviced, maintained, and ready for customer delivery or sales display.
