IT Application Support - 6 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Job descriptionMatric or NQF equivalent Degree / Diploma / Certification in Information Technology or related studies preferable. 1–3 years working experience in IT helpdesk environment. SQL Knowledge. Exposure to a logistics / retail working environment would be an advantage. Knowledge of remote software (RDP, TeamViewer etc.) Ability to follow predefined procedures and escalate timeously to the Security Manager where required. Ability to meet deadlines and complete daily tasks within SLA timeframes. Ability to use knowledge base resources to resolve problems. Driver’s license and own car. Fluent verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Customer service oriented. Strong team player, with the ability to work independently. Respect the importance of confidentiality. Excellent attention to detail. Quickly able to learn, leverage and incorporate new technology and methodologies on own initiative. Ability to adapt to change. Ability to work under pressure.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage in house software ORV / LMS
- Understand Basic SQL and apply DB concepts and best practices.
- Proficiency with TSQL.
- Assist with the installation of Hardware (Label Printers and scales) as required.
- Assist with User training, guidance, and support to resolve issues.
- Support the roll-out of new applications.
- Provide Level 1 Support.
- Maintain Ticket SLA.
- Test and provide feedback on new system enhancements.
- Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
- Maintain Master Data.
- Work Stand-by afterhours and weekends.
