Accountable for specialist outputs, as well as initiating quality standards within defined work routines and policies.

Job purpose

To ensure effective quality control through the verification of scales and incubators, execution of the manufacturing start‑up procedure, efficient packaging analysis and inspections.

Key accountabilities and outputs

• Daily verifications of scales and incubators
• Manufacturing Start‑up Procedure – Check that the skew bar is set at the correct height, the barcode stickers and coding on bottle have the correct information and are legible; Check the torques on all capping heads; Check that labels conform to spec; Report non‑conformances to the Line Supervisor and QC Supervisor; Authorise the line supervisor to proceed once startup results have passed.
• Packaging Analysis – Testing of preforms and blown bottles (height, burst pressure, sectional weight, stress cracking, fill point capacity, drop test, visual inspections, wall thickness, base weight, neck finish dimensions); Testing of closures (height, skew cap detection, outer diameter, inner seal); Label inspections for correct application and glue application; Rinse tests.
• Inspections – Date and batch code applications; Rinse pressure inspections; Barcode inspections.
• Documentation and record keeping – Record all results; Raise non‑conformances to QC Supervisor.
• Sampling – Ensure correct number of samples are taken for QC, QA, retention and micro.
• Adherence to Quality, Food Safety, Health, Safety and Environmental Standards – Enforce food‑safety and health regulations, maintain hygiene, prevent contamination, ensure compliance with legislation and GMPs, attend training, maintain housekeeping.
• General – Perform housekeeping, store products in designated areas (green / red / yellow zones), maintain business information, support work beyond core duties.

Quality Control Checker

Location : Edenvale, Gauteng

Salary : R46 800 – R300 000

Job purpose – Conduct quality checks on branded garments and verify alignment with job card requirements and company standards.

Job objectives – Quality check samples, review swatches, validate branding, report discrepancies; Conduct random audits; Fold and repack neatly.

Qualifications

Quality Control Officer

Qualifications – National Diploma or NQF Level 6 in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management or related field.

ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 knowledge (advantageous). SHEQ or safety training certifications.

Professional experience – 3 years in quality assurance for packings, gaskets, sealing systems in power stations or industrial facilities; dimensional checks, material verification, pressure / temperature testing; implement quality control plans; documentation and reporting; collaborate with project managers.

Controller : Quality Control

Location : Boksburg, Gauteng – salary R90 000 – R120 000.

Position overview – Manage workshop to ensure quality standards across vehicle service processes.

Responsibilities – Prioritise workload, compile reports, inform product support of failures, update technical information, administer warranty claims, quality control of vehicles, cost control, customer service adherence.

Qualifications and experience

Junior Quality Control Officer

Key responsibilities – Monitor food safety and quality systems; Inspect raw materials, in‑process and finished products; Ensure compliance with regulations and SOPs; Support documentation; Report non‑conformances; Promote GMP and hygiene standards.

Requirements – Food Technology, Microbiology or related field; 1 year experience; basic understanding of food safety and quality systems; attention to detail; communication and teamwork skills.

Technical Quality Control Officer – Dis‑Chem Pharmacies

Location : Midrand

Responsibilities – Inspect incoming products, coordinate inspections with regulatory authorities, conduct inventory audits, document and report defects, collaborate with warehouse staff, maintain records, enforce quality standards, conduct floor walks, escale issues, ensure compliance.

Parts & Spares Quality Control Receiving Inspector – East Rand

Role – Receive and verify parts against drawings / specs, use measuring tools, handle documentation.

Salary – Negotiable.
