Transport Controller / Truck Mechanic (Night Shift) - (One position)

Our client, a blue chip National Logistics / Transport company based in Wadeville Germiston (East Rand) has the following permanent vacancy

Requirements :

• Grade 12 ( Must)
• Must be a SA Citizen
• Fluent in Afrikaans & English
• Must be able to work nightshift
• Mechanical / Technical background (No official qualification required but if any, it will be an advantage)
• Note that our client is looking for a semi-skilled Diesel mechanic
• Must be able to work on Trucks & Trailers, as well as Transport Control experience
• This is not an office bound position
• Will be responsible for doing light mechanical duties as well as give instructions and follow up on night shift drivers that will be required to load the vehicles and give updates on customer groups during this period.
• Required to complete the company’s POD documentation
• Assist the Compliance department with some of their functions
• Stock control – minimum stock on site
• Must have your own reliable transport
• It is a night shift position 17 : 00 – 5 : 00 Mon – Thu & Fri 17 : 00 until 00 : 00
• Every second weekend work from 17 : 00 until 23 : 00 (Sat & Sun) the rest of the time on standby on the telephone
