We are seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Purchasing Officer to manage procurement activities across the hotel. The successful candidate will ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality, supplier relations, and inventory control.
Critical Criteria (Requirements)
- Minimum 35 years experience in hotel procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management , preferably within a 4 / 5-star hotel or large-scale hospitality environment
- Knowledge of hospitality products, equipment, and supplier networks
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management or procurement software
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- South African citizen with a valid ID

Duties & Responsibilities
Source, negotiate, and purchase goods and services for all hotel departmentsMaintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, and invoicesMonitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment to prevent shortagesEnsure all purchasing activities comply with hotel policies and budgetsEvaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliabilitySupport cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for savingsCollaborate with department heads to forecast requirements and plan purchasesConduct regular supplier performance reviews and resolve any supply chain issuesLive and promote the hotels values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and IntegrityPackage on Offer
