Salary : R30,000 Monthly

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Statistics, Computer Science (with a mathematics basis), or related STEM fields. Strong mathematical ability is essential.

7-10 years of relevant work experience.

Degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics.

4-8+ years of experience in a data science role, focusing on large-scale or unstructured data.

Experience managing projects from start to finish.

Passion for empirical research and data-driven problem solving.

Consulting experience or a strong professional network to facilitate stakeholder relationships.

Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder deliverables.

Understanding of financial aspects such as budgets, costs, and revenue.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Process-oriented mindset.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.

Logical thinker and problem solver.

Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Strong technical skills and ability to work independently and in teams.

Ability to adapt to new challenges quickly.

Must have a car and driver’s license.

Technical Experience

Experience with at least one of the following : SAS, R, Python, Data Bricks, or similar.

Experience with data tools such as PowerPivot, Power Query, SQL, or similar.

Experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Analytical Modeling.

Familiarity with Business Intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.).

Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP) is advantageous.

Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies is a plus.

Additional programming skills (Dax, VBA, etc.) are advantageous.

Certifications in cloud, AI / ML, statistical modeling, or project management are beneficial.
