Job descriptionOversee daily F&B service, maintain quality and hygiene standards, manage inventory and equipment, support menu planning and promotional activities, and ensure accurate financial reconciliation Guide and develop staff through coaching, meetings, performance reviews, and cross-training; foster a respectful and high-performing team culture Manage payroll, budgets, and employee records; monitor costs, forecast operational needs, and leverage systems for reporting and scheduling Resolve complaints, drive service excellence, respond to feedback, and ensure consistent product and service quality across all touchpoints
A premier property in Mpumalanga is seeking a seasoned Food & Beverage Manager to lead its dynamic F&B operations across multiple venues, including banqueting and conferencing. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, focusing on elevating guest experiences, driving innovation, and ensuring financial performance.
Candidate Requirements :
- Minimum of 3â5 yearsâ experience in a 4 or 5 star hospitality environment
- Proven track record in managing food and beverage operations
- Experience in banqueting and conferencing
- Valid driverâs licence and own vehicle
- Valid South African ID
- Strong financial acumen (budgets, cost control, profit margins)
- Advanced stock control; POS, PMS & inventory systems (APEX / NEBULA & PlusPoint beneficial)
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Excellent English communication (spoken & written)
- Leadership, training, and team motivation
- Guest-centric with a flair for innovation in F&B experiences
