Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies and procedures specific to electrical operations and installations.
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits on electrical works and projects.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, SANS electrical safety standards, and company requirements.
- Deliver Health & Safety training, toolbox talks, and safe-work practices for electrical staff and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; compile reports and recommend corrective measures.
- Liaise with engineers, contractors, and management to ensure safety compliance during electrical projects.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across all teams.
- Maintain emergency preparedness and oversee fire and electrical safety drills.
Experience & Qualification
Minimum 5 years Health & Safety Management experience in the electrical or engineering industry.Relevant Health & Safety qualification (SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or equivalent).Registration with SACPCMP as a Safety Officer / Manager will be an advantage.Strong knowledge of OHSA, SANS electrical regulations, and industry best practices.Additional Information
