Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Sales Representative to promote and sell agricultural implements to farmers, dealerships, and distributors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in agriculture or mechanical engineering, combined with excellent interpersonal and sales skills.
The role requires extensive travel to client sites, exhibitions, and trade shows.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell agricultural implements to new and existing customers.
- Provide technical product demonstrations and explain benefits in practical farm applications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, dealerships, and distributors.
- Conduct on-site visits to farms, workshops, and regional offices to support clients.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions from the product range.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tenders.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company guidelines.
- Provide after-sales support, including troubleshooting and coordinating with service teams.
- Represent the company at agricultural shows, expos, and field demonstrations.
- Gather market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support product development and strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
Educational Background :Diploma / Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Science , or related technical field.Alternatively, strong practical farming or mechanical experience with agricultural machinery.Experience :Minimum 35 years in technical sales, agricultural equipment sales, or farm machinery operation / maintenance .Proven track record in building and maintaining customer relationships.Technical Skills :Solid understanding of agricultural machinery, implements, and farming practices.Ability to perform product demonstrations and basic troubleshooting.Computer literacy (MS Office, CRM systems, email, reporting).Soft Skills :Strong communication and presentation skills.Negotiation and closing ability.Self-motivated, independent, and target-driven.Excellent organizational and time management skills.
