Job descriptionEdit a wide range of poker content, including how‑to guides, strategy explainers, player profiles, game variants, and long‑form features. Identify high‑opportunity keywords and content gaps; create content plans and optimise existing pages. Plan and maintain a content calendar aligned with SEO strategy, poker trends, and audience needs. Ensure content meets the highest standards of best practices in on‑page SEO, technical SEO, and internal linking. Create and analyse traffic / rankings reports to identify new initiatives to increase revenue and earn organic backlinks. Ensure all content is factually accurate, well‑written, and optimised for search and user engagement. Grow traffic for both informational and commercial pages in the Netherlands. Manage and expand a network of poker‑savvy freelance writers and contributors. Stay current on poker news, game updates, and industry trends to inform content planning. Proven experience commissioning and editing content in the poker space. Deep understanding of poker gameplay, formats (cash, tournaments, online / live), and strategy. Strong editorial judgment with the ability to shape and elevate complex content for all skill levels. Solid grasp of SEO principles and how they apply to evergreen and informational content. Excellent editing, writing, and communication skills. Experience managing freelance writers and providing clear, constructive feedback. Comfortable using data and analytics tools to inform and refine content strategy. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously. Awareness of responsible gaming practices and regulatory considerations. Passion for poker and an understanding of what the poker audience values. Vast experience with on‑page SEO. Experience with SEO tools (Moz, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Majestic, Screaming Frog, etc.). Knowledge of WordPress is a must. Excellent written and spoken skills in English and Dutch language.
