The President Hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, and we are creating new opportunities for Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team.

We are seeking energetic, skilled, and guest-focused Bartenders to deliver exceptional beverage service in a luxury environment. The ideal candidates will have recent experience in hotels or upmarket restaurants / bars, strong mixology skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.

Experience & Requirements

South African citizen with a valid ID (non-negotiable)

At least 2 years’ bartending experience in a hotel or upmarket restaurant / bar within the last 2 years

No employment gaps longer than 5 months unless valid reasons are clearly provided

Matric certificate (Grade 12) required

Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining service excellence

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Professional, well-groomed, and reliable

Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Team player with a guest-first mindset

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, to hotel standards

Deliver excellent guest service, ensuring a vibrant and engaging bar atmosphere

Upsell beverages and promote specials to maximise revenue

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the bar

Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management

Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, safety, and hygiene regulations

Handle guest queries and complaints professionally

Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to support events and activations
