Overview
The function of the role is to lead and support the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Projects) and Customer Engagement (Operations) modules, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. This includes managing project accounting, contracts, resourcing, timesheets, billing, and operational execution.
The position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing digital solutions within the Project & Operations function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical experts to deliver robust and scalable technology solutions that support the Function value chain e.g. workforce management, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance.
The role focuses on evaluating current Project & Operations technological systems, integrating emerging digital solutions, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and data privacy regulations. It also emphasizes collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of digital literacy and continuous improvement while mitigating potential disruptions during transitions.
Minimum Qualifications
- BSc degree in Computer Science, B.Eng, Technology, Business, or a Project & Operations field.

Strategic Leadership
Ensure D365 P&O aligns with MDG’s global project delivery model and financial governance.Drive adoption of standard project methodologies supported by D365 (project lifecycle, billing models, milestone tracking).Develop and implement digital transformation strategies that align with Project & Operations business objectives.Collaborate with Project & Operations and executive management to set and achieve digital PROJECT & OPERATIONS transformation goals.Oversee the restructuring of PROJECT & OPERATIONS processes to improve efficiency, employee experience, and compliance.Ensure all digital PROJECT & OPERATIONS initiatives comply with labor laws, security, and data privacy regulations.Technology Analysis & Integration
Assess integration of P&O with Finance, HR (resource management), SCM (procurement for projects), and CE (customer contracts).Oversee interfaces with external systems such as InEight or project scheduling tools (if applicable). Evaluate existing PROJECT & OPERATIONS technology systems to identify areas for improvement.Research and integrate emerging PROJECT & OPERATIONS technologies to enhance PROJECT & OPERATIONS processes e.g. talent management and workforce analytics.Design and implement PROJECT & OPERATIONS digital strategies, including integration with payroll, timekeeping, and benefits systems.Solution Design & Development
Configure and optimize modules such as Project Accounting, Resource Scheduling, Project Contracts, Subcontractor Management, and Timesheets.Ensure correct setup of billing methods (time & materials, fixed price, milestone).Analyse PROJECT & OPERATIONS business requirements and develop D365 PROJECT & OPERATIONS or PROJECT & OPERATIONSIS solutions to drive business value.Create detailed specifications, workflows, and system configurations for talent management, payroll, and workforce analytics modules.Ensure seamless integration of PROJECT & OPERATIONS platforms with other business systems (e.g., finance, IT, operations).Implementation & Configuration
Lead the deployment and configuration of PROJECT & OPERATIONS technology solutions, including data migration and testing.Manage system testing phases such as SIT and UAT to ensure operational readiness.Support go-live activities to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption to PROJECT & OPERATIONS.Support post-go-live stabilization, defect management, and enhancements for P&O.Manage UAT, training, and deployment of new features in the Projects & Operations space.Client Engagement, Support and Demand Management

Maintain expert-level knowledge of D365 PROJECT & OPERATIONS or similar platforms and their modules.Resolve complex technical issues, working with development teams and external partners as needed.Customize PROJECT & OPERATIONS solutions to meet specific business needs while ensuring compliance with best practices.Maintain deep knowledge of Project Contracts, WBS, Project Budgeting, Invoicing, Resource Scheduling, and Subcontractor functionality in D365.Troubleshoot integrations between P&O and Finance (billing, GL postings).Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
