Overview
ANEW Hotels and Resorts are looking for an STO Sales Executive to drive business development and revenue growth through strategic partnerships with Special Tour Operators (STOs), travel agencies, and wholesale partners to increase group bookings and leisure travel across ANEW Hotels & Resorts' portfolio. The successful candidate will be based in Gauteng, Centurion or Cape Town .
Responsibilities
- Tour Operator & Travel Agency Relations
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with domestic and international tour operators
Build relationships with travel agencies, wholesale operators, and OTAsIdentify and pursue new STO partnerships to expand market reachNegotiate partnership agreements and commission structuresEnsure compliance with tour operator requirements and standardsSales & Revenue GenerationAchieve and exceed annual revenue targets for STO segment
Negotiate competitive contracts, rates, and commission structuresDevelop attractive packages and special offers for STO partnersMonitor and optimize pricing strategies to maximize revenue and occupancyDrive incremental business through strategic account developmentBusiness Development & Market ExpansionResearch and identify new market opportunities in the STO segment
Attend travel trade shows, workshops, and industry eventsConduct sales presentations and site inspections for tour operatorsOrganize familiarization trips (FAM trips) for key partnersExpand market presence through strategic relationship buildingAccount Management & SupportMaintain regular communication with existing STO partners
Monitor booking patterns and account performanceProvide ongoing operational support and resolve issues promptlyEnsure timely payment collection and manage credit termsDeliver exceptional service that exceeds partner expectationsProduct Development & Marketing CollaborationCollaborate with marketing team on STO-focused promotional materials
Work with operations to develop group-suitable packagesProvide market feedback to influence product developmentSupport destination marketing initiativesDevelop competitive positioning strategiesReporting & Performance AnalysisPrepare comprehensive sales reports and forecasts for STO segment
Analyse market trends and competitor activitiesTrack performance metrics including conversion rates and revenue per partnerMaintain accurate CRM records and update partner profilesGenerate market insights and recommendationsRequired Skills
Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Business, Marketing, or related fieldMinimum 3-4 years’ experience in tourism / travel industry salesProven experience with tour operators, travel agencies, or wholesale travelStrong understanding of tour operator business model and distribution channelsDeep knowledge of tourism industry trends and seasonal patternsUnderstanding of group booking processes and tour operator requirementsKnowledge of hotel inventory management and yield optimizationExcellent sales and negotiation abilitiesStrong relationship-building and networking skillsProficiency in CRM systems and travel industry booking platformsAdvanced MS Office Suite knowledgeResults-driven with proactive sales approachCultural awareness for international partnershipsSelf-motivated with strong organizational skillsPerformance Metrics
