Job Overview
This role is designed to craft innovative technical solutions that address real‑world business challenges within the Financial Management and Accounting landscape. The primary objective is to guide both existing and prospective customers in envisioning how Sage solutions can transform their operations. This includes analysing business pain points, designing tailored solutions using the Sage product suite, and presenting these recommendations in a clear, compelling manner.
Location & Travel
Location – 3 days per week out of our Johannesburg office. Requires travel across Africa and the Middle East to engage directly with customers and understand their business environments firsthand.
Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand technical and business requirements, ensuring all necessary information is captured for solution design.
- Conceptualise, design, and configure solutions within Sage X3 and complementary technologies to meet customer needs.
- Deliver professional, timely, and high‑quality technical solutions aligned to customer objectives.
- Create and present impactful technical presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Articulate the full value proposition of Sage X3 and Sage Managed Cloud Services with confidence and clarity.
- Develop and execute product demonstrations—covering general system overviews as well as industry‑specific processes including discrete and process manufacturing.
- Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing product support to channel partners, customers, and internal teams.
- Produce detailed internal design documentation, including system configurations, technical explanations, and supporting presentation material.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to provide feedback on product issues and influence future enhancements.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across teams and with customers, ensuring transparent communication and teamwork.
- Contribute to bespoke solution development in alignment with design and development frameworks.
- Understand customer business drivers, risks, and priorities, and position Sage solutions with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Provide accurate, timely reporting including activity updates, bid reviews, project forecasts, and KPI performance.
- Ensure full adherence to Sage’s quality standards and business processes.
Qualifications
Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business, IT, or related fields.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a customer‑facing sales, pre‑sales, or service‑oriented role.Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills.Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines effectively.Discretion in handling confidential information.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.Advanced knowledge of Sage 300 Accounting.Willingness and ability to travel internationally.Technical / Professional Qualifications
