Responsibilities
Compile and update equipment registers (safety).
Ensure machinery used in the unit is maintained, set correctly and free of safety hazards.
Input and print job cards and stores requisitions on the planned maintenance system.
Provide technical support to machine operators.
Conduct routine maintenance and maintenance inspections.
Apply proactive preventative maintenance principles to maximize performance on all equipment.
Complete job cards, log books and inspection reports.
Compile electrical schedules for the plant.
Ensure all task and records of maintenance work are effectively executed and maintained.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime, targeting zero downtime.
Uphold and ensure safety procedures and standards for all equipment, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Electrical machinery of the plant is installed and maintained according to as-built design drawings.
Perform inspections and maintenance activities daily, completing work orders and providing daily feedback.
Inspect and refurbish portable equipment, safety equipment and general equipment as required.
Maintain records of electrical equipment and conduct daily metering inspections.
Qualifications
4 years of experience and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Must be self-motivated, innovative, and able to work without, or with limited, supervision.
Must be responsible and punctual.
Support business improvements and operational goals.
