As the Head of Finance, you'll be responsible for all financial matters at a start-up. You will manage and oversee accounting procedures, payroll and taxes for the company as well as liaise with external auditors on quarterly tax reporting deadlines. You should have experience in managing budgets or cash flow within an organisation. If not, this role may suit someone who has worked in a similar position before.

Requirements

• Contributes to the coordination and management of the accounting function and operation.
• Ensure that all financial processes, systems, and policies are established and adhered to.
• Oversee the work in progress cycle and ensure proper and efficient costing, managing operational cost recovery and operational expenditure.
• Contributes to the analysis and preparation of several financial reports and ensures the distribution and presentation of this information at the relevant forums.
• Implement and manage compliance with financial controls.
• Oversees reconciliations, payments, purchase orders and ensures that the gross profit percentage is maximized.
• Manages maintenance contracts ensuring that correct revenue and cost deferrals and contract renewals are processed on their anniversary date.
• Manage a team of managers carrying out the financial management and control processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Seven years of experience in accounting, finance, and/or consulting required with a strong background in forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
