Accountant - EST Working Hours (Remote)

Overview

This is a remote role with ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa, supporting a U.S.-based financial services and accounting client. The position requires a detail-driven Accountant with solid accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience with journal entries and reconciliations, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.

Base pay range : ZAR23,500.00 / yr - ZAR29,500.00 / yr. Salary details are indicative and based on skills and experience; speak with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain accounting records in QuickBooks Online
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports as required
• Collaborate with team leads to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met

Requirements

Additional requirements include the ability to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South Africa time, subject to daylight savings). Availability to work on both SA and US public holidays. A fixed fibre internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps) and a power backup solution are mandatory. This is a fully remote role.

Benefits

Basic Salary : R23 500 - R29 500 monthly plus retention bonuses after 6 months and yearly.
