Job Description :

A leading financial services firm is looking for a highly motivated and detail-driven Accountant / Financial Reporting Specialist to join their dynamic operations finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is ideal for a qualified CA(SA) with strong post-articles experience and a passion for financial automation, reporting excellence, and strategic analysis.

This individual will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop insightful, real-time financial reports and dashboards, enhance process efficiency, and support legal and regulatory compliance reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving financial workflows, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and creating impactful presentations for internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated financial reports

Develop and improve cash flow reports, budgets, and forecasts

Support legal compliance reporting including SARB and SARS submissions

Continuously evaluate and streamline financial processes through automation

Present financial insights and trends to directors and Wealth Managers

Collaborate across departments and assist finance team members operationally

Manage reporting-related projects and support special initiatives

Review fees, service provider agreements, and financial procedures critically

Requirements :

CA(SA) qualification is mandatory

35 years post-articles experience in a financial reporting or accounting role

Postgraduate degree in Accounting or a similar commerce field

Strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and the MS Office Suite

Experience with Xero, SharePoint, and ideally tools like Zap BI or Power Automate

Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills

Strong understanding of financial processes, automation, and reporting compliance
