Technical Manager

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, programming, testing and commissioning of solar PV systems. You will lead and coordinate technical teams, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Inverter & VFD / VSD Inverter Systems : Installation and programming of inverters (including VSD / VFD inverters). Perform electrical data logging and analysis. Program and troubleshoot inverters to ensure optimal performance Solar PV Systems : Install, program and test, solar PV systems. Commission solar PV systems and ensure they are operational and compliant with the relevant standards. Conduct fault finding and correction in electrical circuits and communication networks. Team Management Lead the installer teams to ensure optimal team performance Mentor and support the technical team for internal growth Design and Collaboration : Assist the PV designer with the design of PV systems, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical advice, and offer solutions. Fault Finding & Troubleshooting : Work with the monitoring team to identify and rectify faults in electrical systems and communication networks. Provide ongoing support to ensure system remain functional post-installation. Qualifications & Requirements Wiremans License or Red Seal certification is essential. Valid drivers license. Previous experience with programming of inverters or PCL programming is essential. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical management A proven track record in the renewable energy sector or related industries Experience managing technical teams is essential.
