Job Purpose
Responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the digital marketing function to deliver the performance KPIs of multiple brands and product lines. Optimises digital learnings and opportunities across the non‑life, life & Hippo businesses. Responsible for acquisition‑led performance marketing and digital customer experience, as well as digital brand engagement. The incumbent will be responsible for driving the team’s performance of the digital marketing ecosystem, including SEO, CRO channels, acquisition‑led website performance and optimisation, digital analytics and reporting; data optimisation; agile test and learn; marketing technology and driving website front‑end acquisition strategies. Responsible for shaping the future direction of digital marketing, the roadmap and ensuring the business keeps at the forefront of the ever‑changing digital landscape. A general knowledge of non‑digital marketing, brand principles and commercial acumen is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Provide authoritative specialist advice to TIH brand marketing teams to guide the implementation of digital marketing strategies for growth.
- Lead digital marketing strategy and roadmap, enabling TIH brands to evolve the digital ecosystem.
- Define and prioritise digital capabilities, lead cross‑functional collaboration across marketing and technology.
- Build and lead a performance‑driven, test‑and‑learn team focused on productivity and ROI.
- Own the digital marketing calendar, campaigns, and multi‑channel execution, ensuring growth of digital channel KPI.
- Set and lead the data and analytics reporting plan, presenting high‑impact insights and recommendations.
- Execute digital transformation projects, designing operating models and sourcing suppliers.
- Manage performance, set objectives, and hold staff accountable to annual business goals.
- Mentor and develop team skills, provide feedback on KPIs and targets.
- Engage and manage stakeholders up to C‑suite, coordinate engagement plans, and align digital strategy with brand and sales.
- Conduct customer research projects and use insights to enhance digital experience.
- Drive innovation and improvement in marketing practices, leveraging emerging technology and data analytics.
- Maintain professional development and stay abreast of regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
Education
Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)Relevant degree in Digital Marketing (Essential)Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing Management or Customer Relationship Management (Advantageous)Diploma or equivalent in Marketing Automation strategy and implementation (Advantageous)Experience
