The Maintenance Technician role is to facilitate continuous improvement in plant reliability through the development of routine planned maintenance schedules, conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures Responsibilities : Perform routine maintenance Inspect & Repair machines, equipment & structures. Maintenance Planning Building & Grounds Maintenance Identify & maintain critical spares (order parts, supplies, or equipment from suppliers) Requirements : Completed Trade Test in Millwright or Fitting & Turning. Wiremans License will be an added advantage. 3 to 5 years working experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment Experience of planning works, estimating the resources required and sourcing suppliers is an advantage. Knowledge of basics of Enterprise Asset Management system (EAM). Experience in PLC and experience as a GMR2.7 will be advantageous. Ideally, the following also preferred : Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. Ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools Planning, Prioritising & Ability to read technical drawings, manuals & technical specifications Knowledge of Maintenance procedures & Ability to implement and follow maintenance procedures
