Maintenance Manager (Automotive) required in Port Elizabeth.
Requirements :
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and equivalent experience
- Government Certificate of Competency qualification (GCC) advantageous
- 10+ years of supervisory experience in a sizable manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated track record of job progression, stability, and measurable impact
- High energy and a sense of urgency
- Extremely reliable and motivated
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities and deadlines.

- Must have managed a team of more than 15 employees
Key Performance Areas :
Lead maintenance team to observe all safety programs that help ensure the protection of all plant employees and visitorsDirect the analysis of mechanical and operational problems on plant equipment, overseeing the planning and implementation of corrective action as a member of the plant’s steering teamDirect and maintain proper records for process safety management procedures and requirementsCoordinate with engineering staff when necessary to facilitate project completionsRepresent the company’s position and interest in dealing with outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultantsPrepare purchase orders for the acquisitions of equipment and services as appropriateOversee the continuous monitoring of production and processing equipment for proper operationCreate, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance program of production including inspection of plant equipment and inventory replenishing system for partsMaintain certifications for calibrated equipment, maintenance documentation, machine history, and all other appropriate documentation for production equipmentMaintain organization of maintenance repair area and any other area where work is in progressPrepare daily activity plans for maintenance team personnelPractice good management principles and adhere to established best practices in hiring, promoting, directing, reviewing, disciplining, and motivating employeesAny other duties that can ensure successful company operationSalary : R92 000 per month CTC commensurate with qualification and experience with benefits.
