Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Health Safety & Environment Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure compliance to all Health, Safety and Environmental Acts & Legislation
Implement Accident Prevention Plans
Implement Emergency preparedness plans
Incident and Accident scene investigator, and Lost time Injury incident investigator
Ensure implementation and documentation of corrective action
Emergency co-ordinator, develop a rescue procedure for all circumstances
Subcontractor management, assisting in ensuring compliance to relevant Health, Safety and Environmental acts & Legislation
Management of Hazchem in accordance with Control of Substances Hazardous to health (COSHH)
Maintaining chemical safety data sheets
Prepare and present HIRA and all Health and Safety training
Manage the SHE documentation on the internal system

Desired Experience & Qualification

NQF level 5+

3 year experience as a Heath, Safety & Environmental Manager

Valid SAMTRAC qualification

Advanced Hazardous Identification and Risk assessment

RMA-COID-Occupational Injuries and diseases in the workplace

Root cause analysis training

First Aid certification

Fire fighter certification

GMR2(1) an advantage
