Overview
Job Purpose :
- To be able to oversee the successful management of the Operational Finance team
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager : Technical and Operational Finance with analysis, detail orientated tasks and projects that may arise
- Bridge the gap between finance and operations, ensuring that financial strategies and decisions are aligned with the day-to-day functioning of the business
Main Duties and Responsibilities are :
Treasury Management, Debtors and Creditors management
Cash position monitoring / reporting, cash flow forecasts and working capital optimisationDrive collections of debtors and drive reduction of overdue debtorsAssist with distributor (UPD) queriesMonitor DSO and DPO metrics in line with Group targets andDebtor / Supplier account maintenance and Master data managementEnsure suppliers are settled timeously in line with payment terms and supplier recons are up to dateReview of debtors and creditors analysis and reporting issues to the Senior Finance ManagerSARB Approvals / Renewals are obtained for foreign payments and Compliance with BBBEEPayments and Transfers to be completed accurately and timeouslyIndirect Procurement & Supplier Management
Drive the Group Indirect Procurement PolicySupplier database managementDrive procurement process optimisationFinancial Management and Reporting
Prepare and deliver monthly transactions in line with Group timelinesMonthly Balance Sheets Recon preparationMaintain comprehensive, accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions comply with company policies and audit standardsWorking Capital ReportingVAT Payments and ReconsGovernance, Internal Controls & Risk Management
Ensure all financial processes and transactions adhere to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Continuously improve on the control environment as the business growsPrepare for and support Technical Finance pertaining to internal and external auditsIdentify and report risks relating to Operational FinanceLead enhancement projects relating to internal controls / automation of processesPeople Management and Relationship / Stakeholder Management (Internal and External)
Team Leadership and development of the teamAble to effectively communicate and build relations with the wider business and external partners to the companyAd hoc business tasks and projectsCompliance : Ensure that all compliance elements are effectively implemented and adhered to.Forwarding of all received Product Quality Complaints, Adverse Events and Medical Enquiries to the relevant person in Quality Assurance / Pharmacovigilance / Medical Affairs.Completion of all assigned training within the specified timelinesQualifying Requirements
CA(SA) with a minimum of 5 years post articles experienceFinancial Analysis and Reporting SkillsHighly numerate, attention to detail and problem-solving skillsComputer Literacy – MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Understand commercial operations and sales processesExperience in budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making.Knowledge of risk assessment, compliance frameworks, and internal control procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.Strong communication and collaboration skills for effectively engaging with various stakeholders.Ability to lead and manage projectsHighly numerate and attention to detailLeadership experience in managing a team, providing guidance, and reviewing deliverables related to key account and commercial activitiesEmbodies Values & Behaviours in all internal and external interactions.Candidates that meet the criteria may submit their applications via this portal or via vacancy link on
