Electrical Engineer

Are you an accomplished Electrical Engineer with a flair for estimations and quoting, seeking a pivotal role in the automotive industry? My client is actively looking for a seasoned professional to fill the position of Electrical Engineer, specialising in quoting and estimations. Your role will involve bringing your technical acumen to bear on the intricate electrical systems integral to our automotive projects. If you revel in the challenge of crafting meticulous tenders, developing precise cost estimates, and contributing to the successful execution of electrical projects in the dynamic automotive sector, this opportunity is tailored for you.

Duties & Responsibilities

• N6, National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2-3 years’ experience in the Automotive industry.
• 1-2 years' experience in estimations and quoting.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Attend site meetings with clients, whereby you are briefed on the scope of the project to be costed.
• Compile quotations for submission to the Engineering Manager.
• Compile quotations with all relevant information and costing.
• Compile offer letters outlining the scope of work and other important clauses such as payment terms, ROE, delivery, exclusions, etc.
• Submission of quotation to client within specified timeframe.
• Accuracy of quote and attention to detail.
• Costing of additional work executed on projects (variations).
• Provide engineering solutions to clients.
• Conceptualize solutions and provide cost of solution to clients (offer).
• Create BOM and labour based on technical knowledge.
• Able to read and review electrical schematics.
• Schedule kickoff meetings with operation managers and supervisors.
• Workshop and operation support.
• Implementation of BMS policies throughout.
