An established retail business in Pietermaritzburg is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Finance Manager to join their team. This is a hands-on management position requiring someone with retail accounting expertise, strong systems proficiency, and the ability to manage a small team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Full bookkeeping and accounting functions within a retail environment
- Effective credit control and cash flow management
- Oversee and manage an admin clerk
- Perform management duties, including reporting and process improvements
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end processes and financial deadlines
- Manage and oversee stocktaking procedures
- Work some Saturdays as required by retail operations
Minimum Requirements :
Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience in a retail settingIn-depth working knowledge of Pastel accounting packages and Microsoft Office SuitePrevious supervisory or management experienceStrong credit control backgroundAbility to work independently and meet strict deadlinesExcellent understanding of stock management and stocktake processesBased in PietermaritzburgSkills & Attributes :
