Responsibilities :
- Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actuals, identifying variances and providing clear explanations
- Maintain and update Work Centre rates to ensure accuracy and alignment with current operational data
- Oversee inventory valuation and ensure accurate cost allocation for raw materials, labour, and overhead, including overtime, scrap, and factory efficiency monitoring
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and management teams to resolve cost discrepancies and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) as needed
- Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) and Capital Work in Progress to ensure accurate reporting and control
- Prepare monthly factory cost reports, including reconciliations with daily estimated cost reports, to ensure accurate financial records
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing detailed cost analyses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls and prepare supporting documentation for audits and other relevant purposes
Requirements :
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field5 10 years of experience in standard cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environmentProficiency in accounting software (preferably SYSPRO) and strong communication skillsStrong understanding of cost accounting principles and practicesExposure to Microsoft Business Central and Power BI is advantageousWillingness to work closely with operations and spend time on the factory floor is essentialDue to the high volume of applications received, only suitable candidates who meet the criteria of this vacancy will be contacted.
