The Division of Mathematics Education in the School of Education at the University of the Witwatersrand invites applications for two positions at the level of Lecturer and / or Senior Lecturer. Lecturer Position – Requirements

• APhD in Mathematics Education or Mathematics
• A strong foundation in mathematics content knowledge to competently teach most of the following BEd-level courses : Functions, Geometry, Calculus, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling, Discrete Mathematics, and Linear Algebra. Evidence (e.g., academic transcripts or teaching experience) of having studied or taught undergraduate mathematics content courses.
• A minimum of three years' experience teaching mathematics at high school level or tutoring undergraduate mathematics content courses.
• Ability to teach both mathematics education and undergraduate mathematics content courses.
• Evidence of research potential or output (e.g., publications).
• Ability to supervise research projects at Honours, Masters, and PhD levels.
