Power Query Developer (Excel Specialist)

WatersEdge Solutions is looking for a Power Query Developer (Excel Specialist) to join a high-impact, remote-first team supporting a leading US healthcare organisation. This role is ideal for an Excel expert with a sharp eye for detail, deep knowledge of Power Query and M Language, and a drive to build smart, automated dashboards.

About the Role

You’ll focus on delivering precision-driven, customised Excel-based solutions using Power Query and M Language. The role also involves KPI dashboard design, automation, and reporting optimisation that supports data-led decision-making across the business. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and operate in a fully remote capacity on USA EST hours.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimise advanced Power Query solutions using M Language, primarily in Excel

Design and implement automated KPI dashboards for reporting efficiency

Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and create tailored Excel-based solutions

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across reports and dashboards

What You’ll Bring

Extensive experience in Power Query and M Language development, specifically in Excel

Strong Excel expertise with automation, dashboard creation, and Power Query use

Proficiency in DAX and familiarity with Power BI (advantageous)

Strong dashboard and report design capabilities

Excellent written English and communication skills

Highly organised with great attention to detail

Strong time management and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment

A collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset

Nice to Have

Experience designing visually impactful dashboards

Familiarity with broader data tools and automation platforms
